Villa Octavia
Guadalajara
House in La Alcarria. The project consists of three volumes connected at different levels of the land. The two main bodies with the living areas and the master bedrooms open onto the river and the pool area. The third volume with the guest bedrooms is connected through two large windows to the mountain.
The layout of the space is fluid and seamless: the north and south wings of the rooms are located on the edges of a large central body that houses all the common areas. These spaces are connected by open corridors that look out onto the landscape. The common areas occupy the very centre of the villa, with windows at all heights that provide a spaciousness that connects with the rest of the world. The materials and construction techniques reproduce a contemporary image from the rural and traditional.
